British Petroleum (BP) is one of the world's leading international oil and gas companies, providing its customers with fuel for transportation, energy for heat and light, retail services and petrochemicals products for everyday items. Activities are dominated by its exploration and production business, notably the Tangguh LNG in West Papua. BP also has downstream interests in petrochemicals and lubricants. BP Indonesia currently employs over 1,200 people, most of whom work in and around capital of Jakarta or close to our main asset in Papua Barat. Currently we are opening positions as follows:

Communication Officer - Jakarta
Role Synopsis
  • The Communication Officer shall support BP Indonesia's Communication Team in delivering its objectives, including but not limited to developing communication strategies, actively provide advice and recommendations on external engagements, and maintaining good relationship with the media
Key Accountabilities
  • Advising and preparing senior management in any external engagements
  • Identifying, flagging and analysing external issues that will have impact to business
  • Custodian of BP Indonesia website
  • Providing support for the development of external and internal communication strategy in support of Indonesia’s business delivery
  • Providing support for the handling media inquiries on a daily basis
  • Manage relationships with local, national and international media
  • Coordinator of PIER website
  • Responsible for media monitoring delivery to management
  • Develop and maintain relationship with counterpart in BPMIGAS and other PSCs
  • Develop and review publication materials i.e. brochure, posters, leaflets, calendar, etc.
  • Develop and edit internal communication tools i.e. Newsletters, draft announcement, etc.
  • Produce all kind of communication strategy for socialization, including demobilization, exclusion zone, well clean up, seismic using various media
  • Responsible for the implementation of third party communication policy
  • Support for the implementation of the Communication Team’s delivery
Essential Education
  • Bachelor's degree in relevan discipline
Essential Experience and Job Requirements
  • Having experience in a communication role
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia is a must
  • Ability to deal effectively across different levels of expatriate and local business environments
  • Dynamic, results oriented, self confident, proactive personality
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Experience in the energy sector is an advantage

Marine Coordinator - Papua
Role Synopsis
  • Accountable for routine day to day boat operations in compliance with BP Group Marine and HSSE standards.
  • Accountable for performance management of Marine Contractors in the area of boat operations
Key Accountabilities
  • Performing authority for Combo-Dock and Cosntruction Jetty
  • Ensure safe, reliable day to day boat operations in Tangguh
  • Assume the role of forward controller during an emergency situation involving marine incidents/ accidents
  • Delivery of contracts for Tangguh marine operations
  • Monitor utilization and budgeted control for routine day to day operations of support crafts fuel, lubricants, sparepart
  • Ensure right people, right place, right skills for Site H&M team to safely execute the plan
Essential Education
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in related field (Master Marine Class 2)
Essential Experience and Job Requirements
  • Having experience as an Officer onboard vessel
  • Familiar with boat's inspection, running hours and fuel consumption monitoring
  • Familiar with Port Operations
Other Essential Skills and Knowledge
  • Fluent in English

HR Planning and Performance Analyst - Jakarta
Role Synopsis
  • HR Planning and Performance Analyst responsible to support HR Department’s activity planning, monitoring, and continuous improvement in HR Operations and Reward in order to ensure that HR Department’s short and long term plans are achieved and continuously improved performance
Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and monitor the HR Department Work Program, Agenda and Budget
  • Coordinate HR Business Plan processes and HR Performance reviews and data requests
  • Liaise with Finance Department/ Cost Controller for in-year performance tracking
  • Prepare and submit Quarterly Report to Finance and/ or Center
  • Provide analytical support on an ad-hoc basis
  • Management of the Reward database accurately
  • Provide support in managing existing Reward and Human Resources tools
  • Development and continuous improvement of other Reward tools as appropriate including business processes
  • Provide data analysis support to the Reward Advisor and VPHR
  • Reporting and analysis from HR Systems (SAP and other tools)
Essential Education
  • At minimum bachelor degree from reputable university
Essential Experience and Job Requirements
  • Having experience in analyzing high volumes of data, in drawing conclusions from the data Superior Excel and data manipulation skills
  • Strong Word and Power point skills
  • Proficient in written communications and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of operating effectively within a team-based environment, including group problem-solving techniques and facilitation skills
  • Successful candidate will take ownership of their work, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver high quality, consistently accurate data-analysis outputs to tight timelines
  • Ability to multi-task, and deliver in an demanding environment

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resource/ Finance/ Industrial Engineering or related
  • Experience working within and across multi-cultural environment
  • Knowledge and experience of working in HR, Reward and/ or Planning/ Finance/ Budgeting
  • Ability to use a broad range of data manipulation and presentation tools
  • Experience of SAP or other Enterprise HR system
